Hey guys, I've dug all through this forum and maybe have missed something but here's my issue I am having.
I have a HP DeskJet 672C. Based of linuxprinting.org I downloaded the cdj670 PPD file (HP-Deskjet_672C-hpijs.ppd to my /usr/share/cups/model directory. I ran # cupstestppd on that file and got a :PASS
Ok, i fixed my last problem, but now get this one...accepts the job to print..and I get 'Waiting for job to complete' and then nothing happens..nothing prints. Any ideas? |

Ok, I started over, I deleted the .ppd, emerged cups, tested the deskjet.ppd and deskjet2.ppd that are in the /usr/share/cups/model directory and they PASS, changed the cupsd.conf to File Device Yes, but when I restart cupsd.conf, it shows it is stopped, but then it doesn't start. So i stop it, then try 'start' instead of 'restart' and it says it is already running.
But then i go into http://localhost:631 and it recognizes my printer and is accepting jobs. Then i try to print test page and it just sits there and nothing happens.
I have my Device set to : internet printing protocol (ipp)
Device URI: ipp://muldoon:631/printers/HPDeskjet
Please help... |

I'm having the same problem on a Deskjet 3650, however mine worked fine until I updated cups to v1.1.23_rc1 (don't remember from what version though). I see that v1.1.23-r1 is available now so I'll cross my fingers and emerge that one. _________________ RYZEN 5 3600 Matisse (Zen 2) 6-Core 3.6 GHz Socket AM4 65W
