I can change the booktype of my DRU-710A in Windows, using Nero. However, dvd+rw-booktype refuses to change the booktype(saying this is not a Liteon model, which is actually a rebadge of a liteon burner.)
Are there existing patches for dvd+rw-tools? Thanks!

well i solved the problem myself :D all i did was a simple su
maybe the kernel blocks the SCSI instructions to change booktype for non-roots.
