Pure FTP Setup

Hi, I emerged pureftp and it serves ftp fine.

However I don't seem to be able to use the "virtual users". Apparently it has to be compiled in... is there any way to do this with portage or will it be done automatically?

Also, does anyone know if it's possible to restrict the users that can use ftp... either specify users who can or who can't (ie: root!). Ideally I would like to assign an 'ftp' group to the users, like I have done with ssh.

Or is there another ftp program where this is an option?

Just do this and it will solve all your programs

Never had a problem with pureftp after I switched from pro, I have virtual users and restricted users and all works just fine.I assume you have looked at pureftp's website
