My pc speaker is competing with my good speakers. I have music coming out of both and I cannot figure out how to turn off the pc speaker. Everything detects fine, no errors. I've messed with the mixer settings and anything that affects the volume, affects the volume of the pc speaker and my good speakers.
My speakers are plugged in correctly, and sound fine in windoze. How can I mute the pc speaker or some other solution?
thanks! |

you have the PC speaker compiled into the kernel. Either take that option out of the kernel (or make it module) or unplug your internal speaker from your motherboard.
If you actually like being annoyed by the internal speaker whenever something has issues compiling, there's probably some options that you can set in the music player that you use (but failed to note).
Either way, good luck _________________ Adopt an unanswered post |
