Hi to all,
this is my first post because I've found this problem:
I have a firewall for a DSL connection, with the iptables routing and the Freeswan for a tunnel with the other build and a Poptop service for the standard and short connection.
But is possible that a Disk can broke or the power supply can be "die" when you need to access internet... (now my firewall is up again after the power supply fall).
Anyone can describe to me how to create a Firewall High Avaibility systems? I've looked anywhere in internet but have found only a solution with OpenBSD, PF and CARP but I want to use my GENTOO for it! |

Disk failure? What about RAID-1? Blackout? Hmm, buy yourself some UPS. |

I know the RAID solution, but you know that a system use only one motherboard, one processor, one ram, only one network card for each side, etc. For this I wold like to create a HA cluster but i don't know how to use for a firewall, and the best are to create a load balancing too with 2 computers!
Any idea? |
