Code: | Device Drivers ---> Networking support ---> Ethernet (10 or 100Mbit) ---> Tulip family network device support --->
[*] "Tulip" family network device support
<M> DECchip Tulip (dc2114x) PCI support
Bus options (PCI, PCMCIA, EISA, MCA, ISA) ---> PCMCIA/CardBus support --->
<*> PCMCIA/CardBus support
[ ] Enable PCMCIA debugging
<M> CardBus yenta-compatible bridge support |

fatto, ma non la attiva, mi da:
Code: | * PCMCIA support detected.
* Srtarting pcmcia...
cardmgr[5786]: no sockets found !
* cardmgr failed to stard. Make sure that you have PCMCIA
* modules built or support compiled into the kernel
* Bringing eth0 up via DHCP...
* ERROR: Problem starting needed services.
* "netmount" was not started.
* Starting local... |

Code: | Device Drivers ---> Networking support ---> PCMCIA network device support --->
[*] PCMCIA network device support
< > 3Com 3c589 PCMCIA support
< > 3Com 3c574 PCMCIA support
< > Fujitsu FMV-J18x PCMCIA support
< > NE2000 compatible PCMCIA support
< > New Media PCMCIA support
< > SMC 91Cxx PCMCIA support
< > Xircom 16-bit PCMCIA support
< > Asix AX88190 PCMCIA support |
Ciao grazie |

Niente da fare ho tolto il
Code: | [*] PCMCIA network device support |

Code: | # emerge -avt --usepkg coldplug
These are the packages that i would merge, in reverse order:
Calculating dependencies
!!! All ebuilds that could satisfy "coldplug" have been masked.
!!! One of the following masked packages is required to complete your request:
- sys-apps/coldplug-20040920 (masked by: ~x86 keyword)
For more information, see MASKED PACKAGES section in the emerge man page or
section 2.2 "Software Availability" in the Gentoo Handbook. |
ho fatto l'installazione da Universal-CD, e ora nel lettore ho il Package-CD.
Dentro alla cartella "sys-apps" ho:
Code: | acpid-1.0.2-r2.tbz2
apmd-3.2.1_p4.tbz2
chpax-0.7.tbz2
eject-2.0.12.tbz2
gradm-2.0.1.tbz2
hotplug-20040401.tbz2
hotplug-base-20040401.tbz2
parted-1.6.6.tbz2
partimage-0.6.2.tbz2
pciutils-2.1.11-r1.tbz2
usbutils-0.11-r3.tbz2

Allora prova a dare i seguenti comandi
Code: | # modprobe yenta_socket
# modprobe tulip
# /etc/init.d/net.eth0 start |
poi se va la rete metti coldplug _________________ Questions are guaranteed in life; Answers aren't. |

eseguito, risultato:
Code: | root # modprobe yenta_socket
root # modprobe tulip
root # /etc/init.d/net.eth0 start
* PCMCIA support detected.
* Starting pcmcia...
cardmgr[6536]: watching 2 sockets [ ok ]
* Bringing eth0 up via DHCP... [ !! ] |
Code: | Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>>> emerge (1 of 2) sys-apps/hotplug-20040923 to /
>>>> Downloading http://gentoo.osuosl.org/distfiles/hotplug-2004_09_23.tar.gz
--22:58:46-- http://gentoo.osuosl.org/distfiles/hotplug-2004_09_23.tar.gz
=> '/usr/portage/distfiles/hotplug-2004_09_23.tar.gz'
Resolving gentoo.osuosl.org... failed: Temporary failure in name resolution.
etc.....
etc.....
!!! Couldn't download hotplug-2004_09_23.tar.gz. Aborting. |
Code: | root # nano -w /etc/conf.d/net
iface_eth0="dhcp" |
e questo il file hosts:
Code: | root # nano -w /etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 localhost
# IPV6 version of localhost and co
::1 ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
fe00::0 ip6-localnet
ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix
ff02::1 ip6-allnodes
ff02::2 ip6-allrouters
ff02::3 ip6-allhosts |
e con /sbin/ifconfig mi da:
Code: |
lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host

Code: | iface_eth0="192.168.0.66 broadcast 192.168.0.255 netmask 255.255.255.0" |
il pc con cui il portatile è in rete ha ip 192.168.0.1
dentro a /etc/hosts ho messo:
Code: |
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.0.1 duca-pc.workgroup duca-pc
192.168.0.66 tpad.workgroup tpad |
ora quando do /etc/init.d/net.eth0 start ottengo:
Code: | * Bringing eth0 up (192.168.0.66)...
SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
eth0: unknown interface: No such device
SIOCSIFBRDADDR: No such device
eth0: unknown interface: No such device
SIOCSIFNETMASK: No such device [!!] |
