Hi,
I just tried to install gentoo on my PowerBook G4 1,5GHz 15,2" but I experianced some problems after booting the LiveCD (2004.3 for PPC). The LiveCD doesn't recognize any network card... I tried to load the modules for my ethernet adapter but there aren't any on the livecd. The only loadable module in /lib/modules/2.6.9-gentoo-r1-g4/kernel/drivers/net is "sunrpc" but i need an other one. I think is called sungem...
Does anyone have an idea how I can get the net to work? _________________ Kopete OTR Plugin |

When booting up the livecd, pay attention to the kernel messages.
If you see something like `eth0: xxxx` then the kernel did recognize it, and all you need to do is run `net-setup eth0` to get it to work.
Or if you are lazy, try running netsetup first. |
