Hi all,
i've emerged squid nearly.
It's not the first time i use squid and i have a 2 servers already running it.
But here i've been unable to make it works:
- first of all despite cache_effective_user tag that i ve defined to squid (to run it as squid user), squid always start as root.
- then it disappears, trying ps aux|grep squid gives no output but /etc/init.d/squid status gives: "squid started".
Well i'm confused right now anyhelp would be appreciate. Thanks in advance.
Ciao bye bye. _________________ Regards |

Do you have a squid user listed in /etc/passwd (prob. UID 31)? |
