Hi there!
First of all hi to all and sorry for my non-skilled english. This is my first post.
I'm trying to install gentoo from scratch, but i'm having a hard time. "Emerge system" fails for some reason that i don't understand. After emerging some packages i get an error while trying to merge automake-1.8.5-r3. Configure says that autoconf is installed but doesn't work properlly.
Of course i've searched for some similar post already, but none of them helped. autoconf-wrapper is installed, autoconf 2.13 and 2.59-r6 too, but i cand go further with the merge.
Any kid of help will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance. |

Have you:
- booted the right LiveCD for your system
- downloaded the right stage for your exact system
- followed the Handbook to the letter
?
What is the exact error ? _________________ >>> emerge (3 of 7) mcse/70-293 to /

thanx for lightning-fast answer :
1)i've booted from -> install-x86-minimal-2004.3-r1.iso
2)downloaded the right stage
3)Followed to the letter (as far as i know)
