A problem as turn me into a ox looking a palace.
I have two partitions on my disk: hda3 - 11Gb; hda5 - 26Gb.
I run the gentoo on a ASUS L3800C with a ATI radeon Mobility 7500 and I'm trying to install neverwinter.
However, the gentoo has completely fulled hda3, so I need to install the game on the other partition. THAT's where the problem resides.
I have already edited the ebuild and have the previous install, but now for some reason, even after I did the chmod and chown, I dont have permission to run fixinstall.
the first question is: Is it really possible to emerge in another partition and what do I edit on the ebuild?
the second is: is it possible to be just a permission problem because it is another partition? |

In the ebuild file for nwn there is a variable like "GAMES_OPT" - just export it prior emerging and you're done.
e.g.
"export GAMES_OPT=/mnt/newpart/games emerge nwn"
I don't remember if this name is really GAMES_OPT - but it contains GAMES and OPT in the name is should be hard to find.
I did this that way. |

Well, you could do a link using ln -sf. I'm not sure... _________________ CPU: 3800+ X2 (2.5Ghz)
