Hi All
I've a new video card, the GeForce 6800 GT, it work good. It has a DVI and a usual output. But with this new card my two monitors are now one big desktop. Normally (with the old card) they were not treated as one (I didn't changed my XF86Config file). For example, when I maximize a xterm, it is spread out over the two (this was different before). Also, before, I had two BusIDs specified, but when I do: lspci | grep VGA I get only one line: Code: | 0000:01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation NV40 [GeForce 6800 GT] (rev a1) | So my question is how do I get information about this other screen?? or how do I fix this problem??
Luca
NOTE when I boot, both screens display the same information! |

For nvidia cards there are special options in the device section of xorg.conf for multi displays. I do not know in detail, as I do not (yet) have an nvidia card myself, but I should be pretty easy to find in this forum. |
