Hi Everyone,
I'm having an odd error with NTP:
I'm running ntpd to sync off some time servers. It works just fine until I reboot my machine, at which point it switches to some sort of brain-dead default config file. Now, I *could* just copy the working config file over the retarded one and restart the service after every reboot, but I'm lazy. :wink:
Does anyone know how I can stop this default config file from taking over after each reboot?

I can post files if you need them,
-rhat

if you get your IP address from DHCP this will overwrite your ntp.conf you need to put -N in your dhcp options in conf.d/net

Well that looks like it did the trick!
Just incase anyone needs this topic in the future:
just add a "-N" to the dhcpcd options line like so:
Code:
...
dhcpcd_eth0="-N"
...

I think it should work for other network cards as well.
Have fun,
