HELP HELP !!!

A few weeks back I created a mailserver that logs into a number of pop-accounts at another ISP, reads them and then divides/forwards the mail to yet another account while making a small SMS to my phone saying "You have mail from blabla@blabla.com" (Thank you Binestar !!!)

But now I really srewed it up... (sorry for the bad word...)

I installed amavis (What was I thinking :wink: )

Now the mail just goes to the mailq of amavis "mqamavis" and stays there ????

I don't understand what goes wrong....
It supposed to go like : fetchmail -> amavis/sophos -> sendmail

Can anyone help me with that ???

Could you tell us (me) how did that? It would be great if I wouldn't need bang my head to wall as I need to do exactly same thing (fetchmail from 2-3 POP-accounts, forward them to user accounts) :)

Naturally you start with fetchmail : emerge fetchmail

After that you can configure the file .fetchmailrc in your /root dir.
It should look like this :

Quote:
poll pop3.isp.com with proto pop3;
user "ispuser" there with password "123456" is "localuser" here

Then you need to make sure fetchmail can send to your local system, you need to install sendmail or postfix to. Thus :

emerge sendmail

That should be it. After that you have to descide with what applic you wanna read your mail (mutt pine) or have it forwarded to another isp pop account or make your own pop server...
I just let it forward....
