ALSA and ens1371 problems - digital sound output

i need to have digital sound output working ( boston acoustics BA 375 - accept digital signal only) with alsa. the modules and driver are fine but i need to enable spdif / digital out ...
anyone know how to do this .....? pls help

All I had to do with the latest alsa drivers, was to turn up the level of iec985 C channel with alsamixer ... I guess there should be a channel for you to, to enable your spdif, that is if the driver supports it / your audio card has one ...
