Hi,
ich verusch grade nach dieser anleitung mISDN zu installieren. Es scheitert aber an capi4k-utils. system ist AMD64 (vllt liegts dadran? (ging früher aber auch immer))

Code:
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/3.4.3/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: /var/tmp/portage/capi4k-utils-20041006-r5/work/capi4k-utils/pppdcapiplugin/../capi20/libcapi20dyn.a(capidyn.o): relocation R_X86_64_32 against `a local symbol' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC
/var/tmp/portage/capi4k-utils-20041006-r5/work/capi4k-utils/pppdcapiplugin/../capi20/libcapi20dyn.a: could not read symbols: Bad value
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [capiplugin.so] Error 1
make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/capi4k-utils-20041006-r5/work/capi4k-utils/pppdcapiplugin/ppp-2.4.3'
make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/capi4k-utils-20041006-r5/work/capi4k-utils/pppdcapiplugin'
make: *** [subtargets] Error 2

i can confirm on the fpic thingy

CFLAGS="${CFLAGS} -fpic" emerge cpi4k-utils

sure gets the job done on amd64. it used to work out of the box on my old k7 system though
