I have this little problem here.

checking for -lncursesw in /usr/lib... no
configure: error: Cannot link ncursesw library

Someone else reported the same issue, and it is solved

Apparently you only need to reemerge ncurses.

emerge ncurses

You might search the forums for the same problem prior to posting, I can provide guidance for searching if you wish.

Oh, I apologize for that. What's more is that I posted in the wrong forum section
I'm thinking. Portage and Programming might have been more reasonable.

I didn't find any results with my search myself, so thanks for that. :)

This is what I searched to get the results:

I am not sure what they mean by "topmost build error," but I think it is this, and not "!!! ERROR: dev-util/dialog-1.0.20040731 failed."
