It looks like you may not have your glx implemented correctly. Are you using nvidia? You might try:
Code: | opengl-update nvidia |
and re-emerge. Otherwise check to see that your video drivers are installed correctly. _________________ Open-mindedness is painful... |

I'm having the exact same problem on a fresh install with an ATi 9800. I think it has something to do with opengl-update not working correctly. I'm going to try some older versions of opengl-update and see if it fixes itself.
[my thread https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=292879]
UPDATE: I have tried both opengl-update-2.0_pre5 and opengl-update-2.1.0-r1 and I am still having the same problem _________________ Top notch image hosting. Great for screen shots! http://www.imagelink.org

Ok that was the issue... I emerged nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx then did an opengl-update nvidia
QT emerged fine at that point...
Thanks for the pointer _________________ ---------------------

I think reinstalling the drivers is the way to go...
That is what worked for me _________________ ---------------------
