dhcpcd not shutting down properly

I have the -d parameter being passed to dhcpcd. With that parameter, dhcpcd always tells me that it is restoring resolv.conf.sv from a bad shutdown. I have not found a reason for this. It also does this when I manually restart /etc/init.d/net.eth0.
