|
For some reason, when I come to see "View posts since last visit" (https://forums.gentoo.org/search.php?search_id=newposts), it sometimes gives me the following message:
Code: |

No topics or posts met your search criteria
|
I also sometimes get these messages if I'm going to the first 50 posts or the first 100 posts. Is there a reason for this? Thanks. |

Your search has timed out. phpBB only keeps search requests alive for a certain amount of time. What I do is to open a new browser window for each page of results immediately, and then use those. _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

rac, even then, it sometimes gives me the same message. The strange thing is that I never face this problem at linuxnewbie. |

No one has any ideas why this is happening? I've tried it under both Phoenix 0.5 and Mozilla 1.3a. |

Oops. Sorry about that. I guess I thought that both of them were using the same software. Anyway, what do you recommend I do? |

Ah, I misunderstood your post. I've not experienced it myself. Does it always happen, or just sometimes? _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

kanuslupus, it just recently started happening but since then, it has always happened. I just found out that it happens on other phpbb boards. I looked at bugzilla over at http://www.phpbb.com/ and someone seems to have a similar problem and suggested that I remove my cookie and create a new cookie. I tried that and everything's working fine now although I still haven't tried it in Mozilla under Linux (it worked fine in Mozilla under Windows). I'll post if I have any difficulties under Linux after cleaning out my cookies. Thanks for your help nonetheless. |

I think I'm going mad. Firstly, it didn't work on Linux although I expected it to. When I returned to Windows and tried it out again, it didn't work. |

Konqueror seems to be working fine with the forums (no strange behaviour). |
