Hi,

I have just come over to check out Gentoo ( I use FreeBSD as my main OS), and have downloaded and burned the above .iso with no probs.

While booting off of the cd though, it loads the kernel and proceeds too load the rescue.gz, and then continue's the hardware probe ( ala normal kernel boot) yet when it finishes the kernel panic's being un-able too find "init".

Anyone have an idea as to the problem? or might it be a corrupt iso image i downloaded from ibiblio?

Thanks !

David
