|
|
I went over the problem list, but couldn't find anything that was exactly like this.
The problem I have is that when I boot, I get a very quick "loading grub" message and then nothing but a flashing square in the top left hand corner with a black screen. Any key presses after that result in a reboot. Now that's somewhat similar to problems people report with having frame buffer turned on in the kernel, but I never get to the kernel.
Any thoughts? _________________ Howdy Howdy |

Addendum - I used hd3 because grug-install shows this
Code: |
Installation finished. No error reported.
This is the contents of the device map /boot/boot/grub/device.map.
Check if this is correct or not. If any of the lines is incorrect,
fix it and re-run the script `grub-install'.
(fd0) /dev/fd0
(hd0) /dev/hdc
(hd1) /dev/hdd
(hd2) /dev/sda
(hd3) /dev/sdb |
I did the entire install on a partioned /dev/sdb _________________ Howdy Howdy |
