I'm using a generic three-button USB mouse and randomly when I'm holding down a key on the keyboard and moving the mouse at the same time, the mouse stops responding after like a second. I tried `cat /dev/mouse` and it showed no activity from the mouse; dmsg was unhelpful as well. The only way to fix this is to switch windows with the Ctrl+F* key into a console and then back into X, but of course I don't want to have to do everytime (especially when I'm playing games). Thanks. _________________ OMG TOASTER |

Are you using udev??
I am and /dev/mouse misbehaved badly with my USB mouse.
Try /dev/input/mice and the "ImPS/2" driver in your xorg.conf. |

I tried changing to udev and setting the device, but X would not start when I specified the ImPS/2 driver. Where can I get this driver? _________________ OMG TOASTER |
