i've been trying this for a pathetic 1½ months, with no luck and no progress. no one seems to want to help me probably cause no one knows how. i've reinstalled about 5 times all with this error.

Perhaps some information on your hardware and a copy of your xorg.conf would help. Specifically:


    - your architecture (CPU)
    - your video card make/model
    - your USE flags and CFLAGS
    - X -version output

xorgcfg
xorgconfig
X -configure

;)
then copy config from /root to /etc/X11/xorg.conf
startx ;)

Already known, xorg doesnt like compiling with a hardened GCC.
In other words, recompile GCC with USE="-hardened -pie" and try again.
