Hi
I'm running 2.4.19-r10 on a 3-slot mobo, trying to achieve a dual raid1 using
2 promise 20269 (tx2) cards. Bios recognizes 4 drives attached to the 2 cards, but /proc/ide only shows 3 drives; no matter whether I swap drive order or cables hdg just doesn't want to show up. I tried toggling the pnpOS enable on the bios (which is how I got 3 channels instead of the original 2), but still no hdg. Have tested with and without promise kernel opts, IDE or raid. Also swapped out both cards for a third known functional card, and tested the cards without installing any other pci devices. They work perfectly on their own or with a net adapter, but not as happy in a dual controller config.
I'm guessing irq problem...or dma channel...kind of foggy in this area.
Too many bus-masters?
