I was wondering if there were any apps in the portage tree that would allow you to combine nics for spped gains. I recall that there was a way to do this with modems to increase bandwidth.
I want to combine two or more wireless nics in order to stream video.
I don't want to string a wire from point to point.
I plan to host an event where I will have multiple mointors (lap tops, old pcs) streaming video with a gui front end. _________________ ---I used to use a mac -- now macs use Linux - I am backwards --

While it's not in portage, the only thing I've ever seen that does something like that is Firehose:

I'm not sure if it's even what you're looking for as I believe is only for file transfers. |

Disclaimer: I didn't try any of these myself:
There is a kernel module to do this in the vanilla kernel. The config option is called CONFIG_BONDING.
