J'arrive pas a faire marcher mon imprimante sous gentoo ; elle est en parallele ; j'ai bien compile le support en dur dans le noyau mais l'imprimante a pas l'air d'etre reperee.

Question peut-être idiote, mais as-tu configuré cups et lancé le démon ?

j'ai un ami qui m'a dit qu'il faut installer les drivers proprio d'hp (hpij - hpoj) ; jlai fait mais je sais pas comment ca marche ; en outre je vais essayer la methode de gentoo.

| le driver pour cette imprimante est " hpijs "suit bien la documentation de Gentoo. |

probleme a l'installation :
j'emerge cups foomatic, hpijs (imprimante hp 840C), je lance la page de test, ca marche, je lance cups et la je lance foomatic pour configurer l'imprimante et ca me donne ca :
foomatic-configure -s cups -p HP-DeskJet_840C -c file:/dev/lp0 -n hp -d hpijs
Use of unititialized value in substitution (s///) at /usr/lib/per15/vendor_perl/5.8.5/DB.pm line 3427
La ligne en question est :
$tmpl =~ s!\@\@IEEE1284\@\@!$ieee1284!g;
si quelqu'un comprend... >_<

Bizarre, depuis mon dernier emerge world, mon imprimante imprime plus.
J'ai essaye les differents drivers disponibles avec cups, le driver hpijs (dans hplip), mais rien a faire, il me met "abandon" a chaque fois que je veux imprimer. Et quand je fais "redemarrer travail", il m'affiche :

J'ai essaye d'installer les version precedente de cups et hplip qui son encore dans emerge, mais ca ne change rien.
Pour info, mon imprimante est une hp deskjet 840c (en parallele).
