Stupid question and one I am sure is documented on this site... but how do I do a forum search with multiple words? I want to see if I can set up my gentoo box as a "remote log server" to my ASUS WL-500G router. I've tried "remote log server" wit double quotes, single quotes, no quotes, ampersands, and backslashes afore the blanks. |

If you click on "Quick Search" it explains a few things:
Quote: | Search for Keywords:
You can use AND to define words which must be in the results, OR to define words which may be in the result and NOT to define words which should not be in the result. Use * as a wildcard for partial matches |
But imho the php search is pretty crappy, so if a search doesn't return the results I'm looking for on the first try I just go to Google, and tell it to search the forums:
Code: | <search phrase> site:forums.gentoo.org |

Thanks! I never thought to click on the "Quick Search" link. Duh! I also use google, just as you recommended, but sometimes it doesn't return 100% of the possibilities. |
