fetchmail/procmail replacement

hello, i am searching for a fetchmail/procmail replacement, one that doesent have the restrictions and limitations that these 2 have..

i have a local imap server, which hosts several mail accounts, however the mail has to be fetched elsewhere, but fetchmail and procmail is too complicated and useless to do it the way i need it to, basically i need something like kmail or evolution to fetch it, and put into the imap server, both of these two clients has powerful filtering abilities, and, they can fetch from a pop3 server and place directly into my local imap server... however i dont like having X or such things as gnome or kde installed, therefore i am wondering if any of you know some hacked version of some mail client, so it can run as a deamon, and has a config file, so X isnt needed...

Two options:

1. You could go (as I do) with getmail and maildrop.

2. You could install squirrelmail with the mail fetching plugin.

Surely there are more...
