I was transferring some files to my PC via SSH through gFTP, and as I was tranferring file, I noticed my memory usage slowly started to climb. I figured it was cached files and after the transfer was over I would be given the memory back. I was wrong, I closed the program and the memory wasn't freed up. Is this because the transfers were done through SSH or was it because of gFTP? And either way, can I keep it from using so much RAM or at least get my RAM back after transfer? _________________ "It's ok, they might have guns but we have flowers." - Perpetual Victim |

I'm starting to think this has something to do with the 64 bit architecture, I'm going to start a thread there.
I tried the same thing on a 32-bit system with no problems. _________________ "It's ok, they might have guns but we have flowers." - Perpetual Victim |
