Is there any way to bump up my AMD64 proc speed from the live cd? Compiling takes entirely too long at 800Mhz. _________________ I respect faith, but doubt is what gives you an education.

So I guess no one has any clue? It took my AMD64 3700+ 3.5 hours to compile the bootstrap, that's not including the download time. Does anyone know if it is possible to change the processor speed while booted off a live cd? 800MHz just isn't cutting it. _________________ I respect faith, but doubt is what gives you an education.

Can you disable PowerNow or whatever it's called in the BIOS? That could probably solve your issue. |

Nope, can't disable it. Ussually disabling the Power Now or Speedstepping defaults the proc to the lowest setting anyway. I know my Dell does that.www.msn.com _________________ I respect faith, but doubt is what gives you an education.
