I get:

[580 lines wrapped]

and it seems a2ps is wraping the line to early or the used font is just big.

I found something in RH's bugzilla

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/beta/show_bug.cgi?id=140584

supposing a bug in the urw-fonts package, and remerged it. Also I reconfigured my cups printer without any success.

As there are quite a lot packages involed in a2ps functionality I am lost

.
