[i]screen[/i] question.

I'm just wondering...

Start a screen session, cat something that will scroll all the way down (like an emerge ), press ctrl-s, press ctrl-a, then esc and try to scroll up.

What happens? Does it work, or is screen frozen?

Yep it's frozen, but it's not really screen at fault. Ctrl-S locks/freezes the terminal (probably a feature) and Ctrl-Q unlocks it, but add screen's Ctrl-A to the mix and you can't unlock it at all. I've accidentaly hit the combination in the past and wondered what the heck I did

The strangest of all is that you can't dettach it and reattach it, in an attempt to salvage whatever you were doing in them.

Thanks, for the input. It's just a tiny bit annoying not being able to pause scrolling to review what went pass the top of the terminal window, but there are worst things in a geeks life, like ...
