Hi workin on a windows XP PC at work, and I would like to set a few folders to be backed up to my gentoo installation.
I'm kind of new to linux, and I've looked into using iFolders and rsync.
Are there any other services I should look at, and if so, what is required on the client (window) and server (gentoo) side.
If I'm not mistaken, rsync has a cleint and server utility?
Thanks

if you just need to push some files from windows to gentoo, take a look at WinSCP http://winscp.sourceforge.net/eng/index.php
it's like and FTP-program, but using SSH to transfer the files (and optionaly compression) |
