Ebuild Question

Is there anyone who can make an easy ebuild creation script, so that newbies to the OS would be able to assist when they have to build a new program which doesn't have an ebuild script?

IIRC someone wrote a simple a while ago. Please see http://lists.gentoo.org/pipermail/gentoo-dev/2002-January/009089.html You might search the list archives to see if an updated version was submitted.
