|
|
Hi,
I just installed Gentoo 2004.3 on my system and when I rebooted I get this error on startup:
bringing up eth0 via dhcp
problem starting needed services
"netmount" was not started
Trying to bring eth0 up manually just tells me the device is not found.
I'm guessing this is because I didn't specify a module in /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.4 as the installation instructions said. The installation CD had no problem knowing which module I needed, but I have no idea what the module would be. I know it's an integrated ethernet controller from http://www.soyogroup.com/products/proddesc.php?id=37. Is there anyway to tell what modules are being used so I could just find the module name and add it?
Or am I totally wrong and I have no idea what I'm doing?
Thanks for any help. |

Reboot from the liveCD and use
to help find the network card module. |
