as subject, i have a large storage pool size about 4T volume and use nfsv3 share for all clents.

i have two OS gentoo linux and solaris8 x86 want to mount storage pool through NFS.

my question is my gentoo linux can mount 4T volume to themself ? And if so, How about solaris8 x86 ?

Very good question!

I'd wager a yes, and why not just try it out :)
For an authorative answer though, I'd recomment asking at LKML or at citi.
