I have tried burning a vfat/joliet ISO image with cdrecord now, but it can't be read under neither Linux nor Windows.
Then I burned the same image with Easy CD Creator in Windows and it worked fine, on the same RW disc.
Cdrecord worked fine before, haven't burned any CDs for a couple of months.
All I did was
Code: |
cdrecord dev=0,0,0 blank=fast
cdrecord dev=0,0,0 cd.iso -v
|
as root. No error messages. |

Once again, I now tried burning the Ubuntu install CD, when I try to mount it I get "mount: you must specify the filesystem type", got "auto" in /etc/fstab and that works with all other cds. |

I'm having also problems. Take a look to /var/log/messages when you try to read the CD. Mine says "error, trying to read after end of disk" or something like that. Also I cannot read the latest Mbs of the CD...
It happens when I use graveman. With the old gtoaster it seems to burn just fine. Glad to see I'm not the only one. Perhaps it's a kernel problem, they're messing a lot with CD recording. There's a thread in the forums talking about the solutions the devs are taking. Look for it (sorry I haven't got the link at the moment). _________________ La PDA de tungsteno |

I'm having this problem too; only with CDs, burning DVDs works fine. I've tried burning directly with cdrecord and from k3b, both produce discs that are perfect up until the very end of the disc, where it becomes unreadable. Scanning the discs with readcd -c2scan tells the same story: no errors at all until the last sector, which is completely corrupted. |

After upgrading the kernel and various software over the past month, this problem persists. Anybody found a solution? |

Yesterday I burned a data CD using graveman without problems. I bet the 2.6.11 has better support. I'm using gentoo-dev-sources.
** EDIT **
Didn't mind. Today I recorded a single .avi on a CD using nautilus-cd-burner and the same problem happened. _________________ La PDA de tungsteno |
