Hi,
I have just installed Gentoo on a new pc, and when trying to run glxgears it says something lke NVIDIA_GLX permissions to restrictive....
I removed the lines in /etc/security/console.perms like it said in the nvidia documentation and all worked well. Then I rebooted and logged on again and now
I got the same error message when trying to run glxgears again. I then did an emerge -C pam and removed it.
Now I can not log in anymore.
So, now I will reinstall Gentoo but I do not want pam on the computer at all, I have no use for it. Is it possible to install without pam support by using -pam in the use flags. If any applications other than "system" require pam, I won't be needing these applications. So my question is simple, can I set USE="-pam" in my make.conf when I install Gentoo and be rid of it. _________________ The roots of education are bitter but it's fruit is sweet. |
