|
|
Hello, I have a Microsoft Wireless Natural keyboard and mouse combo. It was working fine for the most part, but just today things started acting weird. I am in the process of getting Gnome running, and so am working from the console. When I try to type something, anything in fact, I get this message at random:
atkbd.c: Unkown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0xd9 on isa0060/serio0).
atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e059 <keycode>' to make it known.
I've been trying to trace this to one particular button. I can get it (or a variant) by pressing one of the top buttons, such as the play button or pause (presumably for Windoze Media Player). But it happens even when I am just typing letters.
This happen to anyone else? ![Rolling Eyes ](images/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif) |

I had similar problems with my logitech wireless keyboard. It turned out to be the 'function lock' was turned on. I don't know about the MS keyboard, but maybe it has a similar thing. |

Thans, it works better now. However, I have been having a problem with the mouse now as well. I just got Gnome running, but the mouse doesn't work properly. It would basically jump around the screen as if it was possessed (oh well, what do you expect from an M$ product...). I think it has something to do with the mapping of the buttons, and after messing with it, got to the point where it wouldn't work at all. Here is the mouse section from my xorg.conf:
Code: |
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/usbmouse"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "6 7"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "off"
EndSection
|
Can someone else with the Wireless Natural mouse post part of their xorg.conf? Thanks for any help... |
