I'm just finishing my "emerge system" from a stage 1 install. I plan on doing the whole mess again with a SMP kernel, but after that I will need to start building X and all the other goodies.
What will I need to do to setup 3d acceleration with X 4.2 and DRI? On my old Slack install, I ran a 3.3.6 X server ontop of the X 4.x install with Mesa, Glide 2/3, etc. (the "old" way of doing it). _________________ ---

You can compile in dri for voodoo I think under character devices --> agp when you do your kernel configuration. Then just edit your xf86config file to load in the glx and dri modules and I think that should do it.
Anyone one else can perhaps add to this if there is anything else left to do...
