Ok I am going nuts here trying just to get my USB mouse to work. I have tried to run LSusb which gives me this

"cannot open /proc/bus/usb , no such file or directory(2)"

So this means that there is something wrong with my kernel. I have followed the USB config guide for my mouse to the T. I put the proper mount in FSTAB to no real avail. It just seems like I am trying to many things but frustration is setting in.

Running kernel 2.4
Abit NF7-s
Logitech MX 500

using usb-ohci etc etc. if you need more info just tell me.
