I am fairly certain that driver does not support mii.
Make sure you have support compiled either in the kernel of as a module, and loaded:
Code: | Device Drivers --->
Networking support --->
Ethernet (10 or 100Mbit) --->
<M> Generic Media Independent Interface device support |
If compiled as a module, load it using modprobe mii, then try using mii-tool _________________ All reality is the construct of the observer.

For cards that mii-tool doesn't work on, try ethtool. Though, if you have a 100mbit switch (not a hub), pretty much any card will auto-detect and run 100mbit full duplex. Its been a long time since you have had to force most ethernet cards to run at their best speed.
