Hi!

I'm intalling gentoo 2004.3 on a PowerBookG3 for first time. The PowerBook has a G4 prossesor and one 20Gb Toshiba HD. The problem occurs after the yaboot configuration when the computer don't reboot.

The HD is recognized as the device /dev/hdb and not as the device /dev/hda as usually. May be this is related with the problem. The HD partitions table is:

/dev/hdb1: Apple
/dev/hdb2: bootstrap
/dev/hdb3: swap
/dev/hdb4: root

The /etc/yaboot.conf is:

boot=/dev/hdb2
device=/pci@80000000/mac-io@10/ata-3@20000/disk@1:
partition=4
root=/dev/hdb4
timeout=30
install=/usr/lib/yaboot/yaboot
magicboot=/usr/lib/yaboot/ofboot

image=/boot/kernel-2.6.10
label=linux
read-only

anything else you need to figure it out, I will provide gladly, of course...many thanks to all in advance!
