|
|
Hello!
I would like to seperate my apache 2 log files.
This seems like a two part problem for me:
1) I have several VHOSTS, and i believe something in the conf files will cut these apart, but for some reason i'm too lame to figure it out..
2) I have several users on my main server, and they get accounte like domain.com/~user - I would like to create seperate access_log's for each ~user, I'm thinking i'd need some form of batch script to cut them apart?
Lastly, If possible, I'd like to have a master-log of them all.
Ideally then I'd run webalizer of each on seperately, plus the master one, to get a better idea of how my various hosted websites are utalizing my server (as it stands, for instance, i can't see any of the popular files beyond the most popular site, because it gets 100,000 hits a day, drowning the smaller sites off the list).
Any clue how to accomplish any of these, or is there some "better solution" to which I am clueless?
Thanks in advance for you time,

I assume that that will work with apache 2 as well?
All I gleamed from that was the ability to include the vhost in the log files. So i'd still need some batch-madness to split the log files by vhost, and by user?
