Kde and firefox problems

Hello,
Initially I emerged gnome and firefox and everything was fine...
Then I emerged kde and everything seems to be running fine in kde except for mozilla apps. The pages themseleves for the most part look fine, but the tool bar and address bar look terrible, the fonts are huge and overlap each other.
my make.conf is:

When I originally emerged gnome i had -kde and -qt.
The strange thing is that if I open up the Gnome control center from within kde and then select a theme, firefox will look normal until the next time I log in.
I have installed a couple other boxes with the above use flags and firefox looks great in kde, it is just on the boxes that I decided to emerge kde at a later date.
Any tips?
