Problems Compiling PlaneShift Executables

I'm working with the gentoo cvs guide from laanx. It won't compile the executables. I tried recompiling, reconfiguring, and wholesale reinstalling all packages. I got the updater to work at one point but it's not working now. I can probably get it to show up if I recompile again, but psclient is still missing. I've never had something like this happen before. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

There are a lot of problems with getting it to work last time I tried. (about 3 weeks ago)

I had to hack around a fair bit, turned out there was a problem with the Crystal Space engine because someone had taken something out that "Wasn't used" (except in PlaneSpace) but they fixed it soon after. From memory, the client wouldn't build for me because it wasn't including the right headers or something. I'll look into it again tonight probably because I really want to play this game...

Can't believe I got a reply to this. I just saw it now by chance. In school, supposed to be researching. Thanks for any help you can provide. I'd pretty much given up on it, but if you can find a solution, it'll be great.

there are often problems with the files in cvs because it is still under heavy development.
but i have heard that you shouldn't use any CS/cel files from after Mar 25 because there are some new features that planeshift isn't supporting yet and will break it.
