Okay stoopid question...
How do I change the bitrates that the audiocd:/ slave uses when ripping CDs to mp3s and oggs?

Found er...
kcontrol->Sound & Multimedia->AudioCD
If you havent seen this functionality in konqueror, you should try it out. When an audioCD is popped in, you can just copy off MP3s, FLACs, WAVS, and OGGs like they were files. THey get ripped/converted on the fly.... Sweet.
