I went to the below site and I like what I see. My question is how would I get that particular desktop? I clicked on the specific link that should have enabled me to download the file that I wanted, but instead I got a "not found" error. How can I get this particular desktop? Will the normal i386 RPM file that's available there be sufficient?

If it is enlightenment 16.7 you want: emerge enlightenment
If it is enlightenment 16.8 you want: emerge enlightenment (use keywords="*-") (unsafe)
If it is enlightenment 17 (cvs) you want: emerge e (unsafe) ....if I recall it should be more packages than just e.....don't remember which though

I asume you have Gentoo installed? Then the RPM package is not necessary. For the Enlightenment DR16 release just type this in the command line:

Code:

emerge -pv enlightenment

See what packages that will be installed.

Code:

emerge enlightenment

To install them.

The new and fancier DR17 is a bit trickier, as it's still in early testing stage, but it looks like quite a few peeps are already using it and are happy. See http://lude.net/edocs/ for more info.
