This is really annoying me. I have samba shares mounted on my various computers in my house and when I turn one off any computer which has a share from that computer mounted will be kind of locked on the mount and will act strange. Programs will lock up when they try to access the share.

Is there any way to have linux not "lock up" when it can't access a share anymore? Even automaticly unmounting it would be acceptable.
