|
|
Hi,
Ive been trying to install Gentoo from stage 2 for a few days, and I cannot seem to download this particular file.
after i do system emerge, it goes for about 30 minutes and stops here.
!!!couldn't download shadow-4.0.5.tar.bz2 Aborting.
I was unable to find any information on this on this site or the web.
My question is, is there a way to manually download this beforehand if it is needed, or perhaps a way to change the way I am installing it(from the web) to not try to use this file?
Any help is appreciated.

The LiveCD has wget; just put the location above after the wget command and you should be good.
Or use links/lynx - whatever works for you. _________________ >>> emerge (3 of 7) mcse/70-293 to /

This should really have been fixed in the bug report about it, rather than just giving a version bump and leaving the ARCH version to try and use a non-existant download dir.... |
